Volunteer Treasurer

Bow Open Spaces, Inc., a qualified land trust in Bow, is looking for an individual to fill the position of Volunteer Treasurer.

The Treasurer oversees the land trust's financial health, ensuring responsible management and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight: Manage day-to-day finances (banking, bookkeeping), develop sound financial policies, and ensure compliance with regulations. • Budgeting: Develop and monitor the annual budget, presenting reports to the Board.

• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present regular financial reports at the monthly Board meetings.

  Strategic Advice: Advise the Board on the financial implications of decisions and support fundraising efforts.

  Qualifications:

• Financial management experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and commitment to the land trust's mission.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online accounting software is a plus.

  This position is ideally suited for someone who meets the qualifications and has a love for the outdoors. You can expect encouragement and support from the Board and from other volunteers who dedicate a few hours each month to helping protect the public properties and trails in town that are enjoyed by many.
